Kim Greason - Head Tennis Coach

Get to know Coach Kim

With over 22 years of coaching experience at Ralston Valley, Kim holds a remarkable record of 188 wins to 30 losses, along with 14 league championships and an impressive 142-12 league record.  Her coaching journey in 2024 was highlighted by the team capturing their first Tennis State Championship and then following it up with a 2025 title for back to back championships.  The only team to do so outside of Cherry Creek HS, since 1988.  She has also helped coach numerous singles players and doubles teams to individual podium finishes.     As a former All-American at the University of Northern Colorado  she helped her team finish 4th in the NCAA Division II Championships and the team was later inducted into the UNC Athletic Hall of Fame. Kim also held a ranking as high #3 in the Nation during her time at UNC.

A USPTA professional since 2014, Kim has received multiple coaching accolades, including the USPTA Intermountain Pro of the Year, RSPA High School Coach of the year and 12-time Jeffco Coach of the Year, along with the 2024 & 2025 5A Girls Tennis Coach of the Year award and in 2025 the Jeffco Head Coach of the Year for Girls athletics in the county.  She is the Manager of Tennis at the Apex Tennis Center and is the proud mom of two collegiate athletes Cooper (GCU Lacrosse) and Raleigh (Texas Tech Soccer).

Margo Rettig - Assistant Tennis Coach

Get to know Coach  Margo

Margo is in her 12th season as an assistant coach with the Ralston Valley girl's tennis program. She has also been an assistant coach with the boys' team for ten seasons. She was recognized as the Girls' Sports Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2017-18 & 2021-22 school years. She will be entering her tenth summer as the Program Coordinator and Head Coach of the tennis program at Applewood Athletic Club. She also runs the Ralston Valley summer tennis team. She is a permanent, certified coach with the CHSAA. She is a PTR Level 1 certified coach.  She has achieved Accredited Interscholastic Coach and Certified Interscholastic Coach national certifications from the NFHS. She also has USTA 10 & Under Coaching certification as well as SafePlay clearance. She is certified in CPR/First Aid/AED. Margo is a native of Grand Junction, CO where she started playing tennis in high school and fell in love with the game. She played on the club team at the Colorado School of Mines where she earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. In her free time, Margo enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, learning new coaching techniques & mental performance strategies, puzzling and keeping score at Rockies baseball games.
